Lawrence Tam is a professional engineer with more than 30 years of design and service experience in data centre infrastructure in Asia, including Hong Kong, mainland China, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam and Taiwan.
His capabilities cover the planning, design, operation, construction, training, testing and commissioning of modern data centres. He has occupied a wide range of positions in his career as project manager, service manager, application manager and most recently as the Technical Director for Vertiv in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
He helps bring state-of-art technologies to data centres including cooling solutions to extra-high heat density server racks; fan array cooling solutions in mega wattage data centres; immersion cooling solutions to extreme-high density servers for supercomputers and large-scale deployment of lithium-ion storage battery applications in mega wattage scale data centres.
