The EY organisation announced the establishment of the EY.ai Global AI Advisory Council (the Council), which aims to provide organisations with insights and guidance on the increasingly complex AI landscape, help foster innovation, strengthen the EY AI ecosystem, and address the societal impact of AI deployment.
"The astonishing pace of change being driven by AI demands that organisations proactively collaborate with a wide variety of AI leaders to stay ahead of the curve and shape their future with confidence. The EY organisation is no different – being guided by focused knowledge from different backgrounds is essential for leading-edge innovation and helping clients manage ethical and security risks, regulatory compliance, and responsible leading practices," Raj Sharma, EY global managing partner of Growth and Innovation, and EY.ai Global AI Advisory Council Chair said.
Guidance
The Global AI Advisory Council aims to serve as a sounding board for EY.ai, the unifying AI platform, to manage the extensive scale of AI deployments and advancement.
It will focus its guidance and input across three domains, directing AI development and deployment within the EY organisation and its affiliated entities, helping EY professionals serve their clients and deploy AI in their organisations, and working to address global challenges through innovative AI uses.
The Council will comprise global AI-focused researchers, entrepreneurs, academics, ethicists, and policy professionals with extensive knowledge and insights into AI's technical, business, ethical, societal, and regulatory implications.
