John Rafol

John Rafol is a seasoned IT leader from Singapore with extensive experience in delivering cutting-edge technology solutions across the retail, real estate, and conglomerate sectors. With over a decade of managing global teams of around 100 professionals and closely collaborating with C-Suite executives, Rafol has successfully spearheaded large-scale IT transformations.
In his career, Rafol has driven digital transformation and optimize IT operations to support business growth. His experience spans enterprise resource planning (ERP), IT disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP), cloud computing (AWS), cybersecurity, enterprise IT architecture, IT strategic planning, project management, and web & mobile apps development.
At SM Investments Corporation, Rafol established a team and led the provisioning of on-premises and cloud infrastructure, developed a comprehensive 5-year IT roadmap, and implemented the latest SAP S/4 HANA ERP solution for a company with 135,000 employees. He established a Cloud Centre of Excellence and successfully managed over 10 key projects, driving digitalization efforts for multiple lines of business. He managed a team of 113 IT professionals and established IT governance mechanisms for over 20 subsidiaries.
During his tenure at Frasers Property Limited, Rafol designed a 4-year IT roadmap, established a full spectrum IT team from the ground up, implemented Microsoft O365, and standardised ERP on SAP S/4 HANA. He also evaluated and implemented SAP SuccessFactors as the Global HCM solution for the organization.
At Keppel Land International Limited, Rafol spearheaded over 30 application solution projects, designed collaboration solutions, and developed solution architectures for a diverse range of systems, from accounting and HR to property management and commercial leasing portals.
Currently serving as a Board Advisor at SusTek Pte Ltd, Rafol guides the executive team, assesses and improves solutions to meet market demands, and drives growth through targeted strategic initiatives.
Rafol holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Adamson University and certifications including Certified Scrum Master, AWS Business and Technical Essentials, and ITIL Foundation Certificate. He has also completed advanced training in corporate governance and currently taking a 6-month Digital Transformation and Change Management course from Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
