Cybercriminals are exploiting new industry vulnerabilities 43% faster, study finds

In the latter part of 2023, cyber attackers were quick to exploit newly publicised vulnerabilities, doing so 43% faster than 1H 2023, as per the FortiGuard Labs 2H 2023 Global Threat Landscape Report. The report underscores the urgency, with attacks commencing on average within 4.76 days of a new exploit being made public. This highlights the pressing need for vendors to address 0-Day vulnerabilities swiftly and promptly inform customers about N-day vulnerabilities to prevent exploitation by malicious entities.
