F5 has unveiled new tools to help cross-functional operations (XOps) teams manage hybrid, multicloud, and AI-driven application environments.

The F5 AI Assistant, now available as a single, natural language interface across F5 BIG-IP, F5 NGINX One, and F5 Distributed Cloud Services offerings, is designed to make the user experience throughout the F5 Application Delivery and Security Platform (ADSP) as intuitive as possible.

Kunal Anand, chief innovation officer at F5, said: “With AI Assistant and iRules code generation, any operator can use natural language to generate or explain iRules on the fly. This means they can adapt to application changes or security events with far greater speed and efficiency, ensuring the policy that protects their infrastructure can evolve as fast as their business does.”

F5 AI Assistant

F5 AI Assistant aims to transform application delivery and security workflows. F5 will also continue to enhance agentic AI capabilities within the F5 ADSP for more autonomous decision-making, improved threat intelligence, and enhanced security analytics.

F5 AI Assistant aim to reduce Ops overhead and improve decision-making by embedding real-time, domain-specific intelligence directly into the tools organisations already use.

 iRules Code Generation

F5 iRules, dynamic scripts that modify traffic behaviour, optimise routing, and solve challenges beyond standard configurations, help tailor application delivery and security environments. It helps enhance precision while minimising effort, leading to quicker, more informed IT decisions.

F5 AI Assistant can generate validated iRules from a natural language interface and explain iRules components, logic, and functionality to help XOps teams better understand how manual and generated iRules are performing.
