Infor has announced the general availability of its Infor Coleman Artificial Intelligence platform which helps enterprises fully operationalize AI quickly. Furthermore, during Inforum in New Orleans - an Infor customer event - the company announced a partnership with QAD Precision and Signavio.
QAD Precision is aprovider of global trade management and transportation execution software with a presence in Singapore. Signavio, a provider of business transformation solutions, helps to power Infor Accelerators with process mining capabilities across 16 industries with a presence in Singapore.
Infor Coleman AI (Artificial Intelligence) Platform
Today’s enterprise AI environment is characterized by a myriad of developer-centric tools, which are designed primarily for experimental projects. With these tools, it is difficult to implement complete projects — and services quality and speed are painfully slow. As a result, the practical use of AI and machine learning in the enterprise remains low.
With the Infor Coleman AI Platform, enterprises can take advantage of industry-specific starter packs (templates) to accelerate development of repeatable big data, machine learning-based AI projects. These templates are highly personalized and tailored to specific customer data and usage patterns. Further, they are designed for use by “citizen developers,” who don’t need extensive data modeling skills.
When combined with Infor OS (Operating Service), enterprises can simplify and speed up the entire implementation process — giving them the ability to roll out complete, production AI projects in less than six weeks. Infor OS is a cloud operating service designed to bring business processes and AI together and offer operational insights that were never accessible to a business before.
Through its Infor Coleman AI Platform and Infor OS, Infor delivers the Intelligent CloudSuite, a complete solution to automate, anticipate, predict and inform. This gives enterprise customers the business insights they need, when they need them.
The Infor Coleman AI Platform is named after the inspiring physicist and mathematician Katherine Coleman Johnson, whose trail-blazing work at NASA helped humans land on the moon.
Collaboration with Signavio
The collaboration between Infor and Signavio is anticipated to add value in how both companies deliver solutions and services to organizations seeking to replace their existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions with new, modern, industry-specific applications.
“Process management is a critical, yet often elusive, component for businesses navigating digital transformation,” said Dr. Gero Decker, CEO at Signavio. “The partnership between Signavio and Infor is structured to enable customers to unleash the power of process by moving at the speed of insights. Ultimately, we believe customers can benefit from Signavio’s powerful process mining and process management capabilities, combined with Infor’s Implementation Accelerators, which can help enable smarter and more informed decisions across a variety of business functions.”
Implementation Accelerators are preconfigured solutions based on the latest version of applicable Infor application suites. They are designed to deliver certain core industry application processes and to assist with reduced implementation times, risks and costs for customers in specific industries. Now powered by Signavio, a web-based business process modeling and intelligence tool, Infor customers utilizing an Implementation Accelerator can promptly be put on the path to enhanced business excellence. Part of the Signavio Business Transformation Suite, the Process Manager and Process Intelligence are designed to capture, connect, and communicate how work is done and where decisions are made, and deliver that information to Signavio Collaboration Hub. Having visible processes across an organization can help users make better decisions, faster.
Partnership with QAD Precision
Infor has announced a partnership with QAD Precision, a provider of global trade management and transportation execution software, to deliver multi-carrier parcel execution capabilities within the Infor Nexus global Network Transportation Management solution. Infor Nexus is the world’s largest single-instance, multi-enterprise supply chain cloud network business platform.
Infor Nexus, rebranded earlier this year from GT Nexus, combines the power of the world-leading supply chain management network, with IoT and Infor Coleman AI to advance global enterprises on their path toward more intelligent, more autonomous supply chains. The Infor Nexus Network Transportation Management solution offers multi-modal, multi-leg and multi-enterprise global logistics orchestration — beyond the capability of conventional TMS (transportation management system) software — to improve operational performance, supply chain visibility and total freight spend control. The addition of parcel shipping capability, through the partnership with QAD Precision, further extends the comprehensive multi-mode rating, planning, optimization and execution across ocean, air and truck modes already available with Infor Nexus.
Steve Gardner, president of QAD Precision, said, “QAD Precision and Infor Nexus both believe in the power of digital transformation to help our customers manage critical business processes. This partnership offers Infor Nexus customers a seamless integration from their global transportation management system to QAD Precision’s global multi-carrier network for parcel shipping and tracking.”
“Parcel volumes continue to grow, and multi-carrier parcel shipping and tracking has become mission-critical for many global enterprises,” Gardner added. “We look forward to working with Infor Nexus and believe this partnership is a great fit for both companies to meet the challenges of Infor’s global enterprise customers.”
According to QAD Precision market analysis, global compliant parcel shipping is growing significantly worldwide. Global package shipping grew by an average of 5.8 percent between 2012 and 2016, and it spiked 17.3 percent in 2017. Cost management with secure and compliant delivery is increasingly vital to supply chains with significant parcel shipping components.
