Veritas Technologies launched AI-powered advancements, including a self-defending data protection solution, an operational copilot, and new ecosystem partners to help organisations strengthen cyber resilience

Andy Ng

“Cyber criminals are now using sophisticated AI tools to increase the frequency, scale, and complexity of their attacks, overwhelming data protection teams. In the current macro landscape, organisations are less likely to be hiring additional data protection specialists required to bolster their cyber resiliency. The solution is intelligent data management tools that act as a sidekick to guide them in their fight against cybercrime,” Andy Ng, vice president and managing director of Asia South and Pacific Region at Veritas, said.

Veritas NetBackup and Veritas Alta Data Protection

Introduced as a new self-defending data protection solution, Veritas NetBackup and Veritas Alta Data Protection claim to continuously monitor and defend themselves against threats. It can detect anomalies in user behaviour, automatically flag unusual administrator behavior, adjust security parameters, and lock down data access to protect it against threats.

Veritas Alta Copilot

Veritas Alta Copilot can create reports to monitor data protection infrastructure using natural language. Trained with Veritas best practices and product documentation, the solution claims to quickly identify vulnerabilities and operational inefficiencies, assist with troubleshooting, and aid in data management.

Veritas 360 Defense Vendor Ecosystem expansion

With five additional security partners, the Veritas 360 Defense ecosystem enables increased threat monitoring, protection, and recoverability.
