Singlife selects Oracle Exadata Database service for cloud migration

Singlife moved part of its core insurance applications, including more than10 on-premises databases to Oracle Exadata Database Service on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to enhance system performance and lower IT costs.

Romil Sharma, group head of technology and operations at Singlife, considers the importance cloud technology to drive innovation and pioneer next-generation products saying, “The migration to Exadata Database Service on OCI has laid a solid foundation for us to harness emerging solutions such as Generative AI, propelling our growth trajectory and, most importantly, enhancing Singlife’s digitalisation journey.”

The automated Oracle Database service running on the Exadata platform in OCI allows organisations to run databases with its scale-out architecture and optimisations.

Singlife also leverages Oracle Fusion Cloud Accounting Hub, to enhance data capabilities, increase forecasting accuracy, shorten reporting cycles, streamline decision-making processes, and improve risk management and compliance.
