A new Wireless Logic case study demonstrates that resilient multi-network connectivity and BLE mesh technology have improved efficiency by 30% for over 4,000 vehicles at Changi International Airport in Singapore.
This first Asia-Pacific customer case highlights Wireless Logic’s partnership with OverDrive to deliver end-to-end IoT connectivity, enabling continuous vehicle tracking in one of the world’s most demanding aviation environments.

“We are proud to be working with Overdrive in supporting Singapore’s gateway to the world,” said Syed Natashrul, head of APAC, Wireless Logic. “By pairing our resilient connectivity solutions with Overdrive’s innovative asset tracking platform, we are helping ensure that Asia’s premier aviation hub remains a safe, efficient, and highly resilient option for travellers.”
Smarter airport operations
Key findings from the case study include:
- Fleet-wide visibility: Real-time tracking for a growing fleet of over 4,000 airside vehicles and ground support equipment.
- Uninterrupted coverage: Local Multi-Network IoT SIMs automatically switch networks in weak coverage zones, while Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) mesh technology relays signals through underground baggage tunnels and subterranean basements.
- Airside cybersecurity: A Private APN keeps operational data entirely off the public internet, satisfying stringent airport cybersecurity mandates.
- Measurable impact: The deployment achieved an estimated 30 per cent improvement in operational efficiency alongside a significant reduction in operational downtime.

“Our asset tracking platform is designed to provide the airport’s teams with visibility of where every vehicle is at any given moment. That level of visibility depends entirely on connectivity we can rely on, which made it one of the most important parts of the deployment to get right,” says Aston Chia, CEO, OverDrive.
