Tata Power to accelerate its data and AI transformation with Databricks

Tata Power has announced the enterprise-wide adoption of the Databricks platform to build a unified data and AI ecosystem. The move aims to support intelligent grid management, power planning and optimisation, improved billing efficiency, and more accurate renewable energy forecasting. It will also enhance operations across its solar manufacturing and rooftop businesses.

Accelerating data and AI transformation

Databricks will enable Tata Power to establish a modern data foundation designed to process data at scale, deliver near-real-time insights, and support advanced analytics, AI, and agents. The Databricks platform also aims to unify data engineering, analytics, and AI. The India-based power company will also deploy Genie, Databricks’ AI agent with a natural-language interface that can access enterprise data to generate insights, dashboards, and analytics to support better decision-making.
