Trend Micro protects consumers in the age of the AI PC

Trend Micro Incorporated unveiled solutions and innovations to protect consumers in adopting generative AI and projected an increase in AI PC adoption.

Our goal is to ensure every user, from individual consumers to the largest organisations in the world, can harness the full potential of AI and AI PCs securely and confidently,” Eva Chen, co-founder and CEO at Trend, said.

AI PCs

By 2027, IDC predicts AI PCs will make up more than half (60%) of all global PC shipments, reaching more than 167 million units, up from 50 million in 2024. Trend targets delivering some of its cloud AI capabilities on devices and introducing new capabilities that take advantage of AI PCs’ efficiency and data privacy benefits.

Solutions and innovations

Trend unveils AI Application Protection to safeguard organisations against tampering with AI applications, Malicious AI Content Protection that claims to protect consumers from malicious AI-generated or AI-altered content, and NPU-powered Cybersecurity Capabilities, solutions designed for AI PCs that leverage the additional compute power.
