Peck Yeow Gan is the Director of Human Resources with AXA Asia and Africa. In this role, she leads the regional HR team in reinforcing strong company culture, creating, and leading large-scale employee engagement and development programmes, and implementing reward and talent management strategies that support the achievement of business goals and objectives for the Asia and Africa regions in AXA.
Prior to her joining AXA in August 2018, Gan was with AIA Group, initially as Director, Human Resources from 2015 to 2017. As Director of Human Resources for AIA Group, she provided proactive HR delivery and support to a portfolio of countries and business functions. From 2017 to 2018, Gan was Chief Human Resources Officer, Group Office and Shared Services, responsible for developing and executing HR strategy in support of the business plan for AIA Group Office in Hong Kong, Shared Services in Malaysia and China, and the Asset Management company in Singapore.
Previous to her work in AIA, Gan was the Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer with Prudential Assurance, Singapore. As CHRO, she aligned HR programmes and policies with Prudential’s business strategies, delivered value to the business as well as drove, developed and managed the company’s talent and succession planning.
Gan also spent 15 years with M1 Limited, where she was instrumental in the formation of the HR department in a start-up environment of more than 1,200 employees.
She has been honoured as Asia Leading HR Leader at the 2014 Singapore HR Awards and won Leadership Awards in 2013 and 2014 at the Global HR Excellence Awards and Asia Pacific HRM Congress.
Gan holds an MBA from the University of Warwick, UK; a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources from the Singapore Institute of Management; and a B.A. Hons. degree in the English Language from the National University of Singapore.
