Through continuous technological innovations, Huawei Cloud commits to accelerating industry digitalisation in Singapore.
"Our sights are on the digitalisation industry. We are bringing in the glocalisation experience and driving the digital economy through cutting-edge technology adoption," said Jacqueline Shi, president of Global Marketing and Sales Service at Huawei Cloud.
Cloud technology growth
Shi added that the rapid growth of cloud technology, particularly Huawei Cloud's, has significantly enhanced Singapore's digital capabilities. In the previous year alone, Huawei Cloud's business in Singapore soared by over 100%, contributing to a 110% global growth. This growth has positioned Huawei Cloud as the second-largest cloud provider in China and the fastest-growing in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Its revenue in APAC has surged twenty-fold in the past five years, a testament to its significant impact on the region's digital landscape.
Singapore, in its pursuit of digital excellence, has set new benchmarks in connectivity and operational efficiency. It now boasts the lowest latency levels in the APAC region, with the Singapore node achieving latency below five milliseconds.
"By continuously creating innovative technologies and solutions from Cloud Native to AI Native and then to Digital Native, Huawei Cloud aims to provide end-to-end digital intelligence services for the digital transformation of various industries in Singapore," said Mark Chen, president of Global Solutions Sales, Huawei Cloud.
Talent development and collaboration
Huawei Cloud has launched the "Go Cloud, Go Global-Singapore Cloud Alliance", a strategic initiative aimed at promoting an innovation ecosystem and fostering collaboration among industry players. The alliance is committed to expanding its reach to benefit more partners and customers.
Huawei Cloud has trained over 3,000 developers in Singapore, produced over 2,200 ICT talents in collaboration with educational institutions, and sparked 180 startups in the Spark Incubator entrepreneurship initiative with the Singapore government in 2022.
