NTT DATA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HTX (Home Team Science and Technology Agency), a statutory board under Singapore’s Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), to co-develop AI‑driven capabilities to enhance frontline response, strengthen digital forensics and drive sustainable innovation for Singapore’s Home Team.
“We are proud to embark on this partnership with HTX. With our global thought leadership, AI expertise and delivery capabilities at scale, we believe this exchange in knowledge will drive accelerated innovation in Singapore,” said Png Kim Meng, executive managing director, Singapore and Asean, NTT DATA.
AI-driven public safety

The MoU outlines four strategic areas of collaboration:
- Advanced Networking Solutions: Development of photonics technology to reduce power consumption in data transmission.
- Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics: Establishment of a cloud-based Digital Forensics and Malware Lab to address AI-enabled cyber threats, along with training programs for enhanced investigative skills.
- Sustainability and Green Initiatives: Collaboration on sustainable technologies to support decarbonization aligned with MHA’s net-zero roadmap.
- AI-Driven Operational Optimisation: Creation of AI and automation solutions for improved workflows, including fraud detection and pre-payment verification.
The partnership also aims to establish advanced capabilities for early threat detection, faster and more accurate investigation, improved responses during live incidents, and reduced investigation turnaround times.
