OpenPhone launches Sona, an always-on AI agent

OpenPhone has launched Sona, the always-on AI agent aimed at helping business owners serve customers better.

“Smarter than voicemail and more affordable than a live answering service, Sona ensures every call gets answered — whether it’s a potential customer, a critical request, or a quick question. Your business stays available, even when you’re not,” wrote George Williams, the product marketing lead at OpenPhone.

Always-on AI agent

Available as a paid add-on to any OpenPhone plan, Sona claims to answer business calls 24/7, helping business maximise their revenue opportunities.

Moreover, Sona aims to provide personalised service at scale, giving businesses the power to control their interactions. They can choose when Sona engages in the call flow, what it asks, and what it shares, empowering them to tailor the service to their needs.

It also helps businesses handle more communication with fewerresources, by bringing calls, text messages and voicemails into a single place.

Users can have complete visibility and oversight as the solution allows them to keep track of every call with automated call logs, recordings, and summaries, which are seamlessly integrated into your OpenPhone workspace. Businesses can also easily filter by the calls Sona takes in call views.
