DAMO Academy, Alibaba Group's research institute, and the WHO Collaborating Center on Digital Health partnered to advance innovations in digital health and expand the benefits of medical AI to more developing countries.

Harnessing digital innovations
The partnership entails DAMO Academy and the WHO Collaborating Center on Digital Health to conduct research and provide advice in digital health, artificial intelligence, and industrial development.
They will also jointly conduct training on medicine, engineering, digital health, artificial intelligence, industrial development, and other areas to develop more talent in digital health.
Medical AI
The partnership also aims to expand medical AI's benefits to more developing countries, advance international digital health outreach, and promote health and wellness through technology.
DAMO Academy's medical AI team is collaborating with global medical institutions to explore new AI-powered methods for multi-cancer screening, which has achieved significant progress in the early detection of seven common cancers through a single CT scan.
