Rockwell Automation, Inc. announced an API-enabled integration between Plex Quality Management System (QMS) and FactoryTalk Analytics VisionAI.

“AI plays a critical role in Rockwell’s industrial autonomy strategy,” states Devin Burke, group product manager, Rockwell Automation. “With predictive intelligence, manufacturers can shift from scripted automation to adaptable autonomy as systems learn, adjust and collaborate across software, hardware and workers.”
AI-driven quality management
Available from Aug. 11, the integration aims to expand AI-driven quality management and advance AI and elastic MES solutions.
Plex QMS integrates with FactoryTalk Analytics VisionAI to enable AI-powered visual inspection. The move aims to help manufacturers detect anomalies, reduce defects, and improve traceability through serialised inspection records and history.
Connected Worker, an expanded AI capability of Plex, can convert CAD and technical files into step-by-step work instructions. Its Reporting and Analytics AI agent claims to provide real-time dashboards, surface risks, predict issues, and support faster decisions through conversational language.
“At Rockwell Automation, we’ve built a context-rich industrial data foundation shaped by years of manufacturing expertise,” shares Manu Ravichandran, senior product manager, Rockwell Automation. “This foundation gives manufacturers the structure, context, and scalability needed to operationalise advanced analytics and AI across complex operations.”
