Workday, Inc. has announced the general availability of Workday Learning, powered by Sana,to provideorganisations with personalised training grounded in trusted workforce data.

“Checking the box isn’t the same as building a skill,” said Joel Hellermark, chief AI officer, Workday. “With a personal AI tutor, interactive quizzes, and learning tailored to each employee’s role and skills, Workday Learning, powered by Sana, turns required training into engaging experiences employees can apply in their day-to-day work.”

The solution combines Workday’s people and skills data with Sana’s AI-native learning experience to provide an AI-powered learning experience for employees.

Its key features include the following:

  • Learning embedded in the work experience: Using natural language queries, learners can interact with a personal AI tutor that sifts through complex material, provides practical guidance, and recommends personalised learning paths. The solution claims to make learning easier with a smart search feature and provides answers and recommendations grounded in Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) data. This includes an employee’s role, skills, organisation, and location, for answers that reflect actual context.
  • Facilitating the production of instructional materials: The solution enables teams to upload existing PDFs, presentations, or other online course files and Workday Learning, Powered by Sana can transform them into structured, interactive courses in minutes. The platform includes an AI-powered editor, an integrated writing assistant, and built-in translation capabilities, allowing multiple contributors to collaborate on the same course in real time.
  • Unified learning operations: It provides a single place to manage assignments, campaigns, reporting, and controls across both Workday-native and Sana-created content, while automatically updating learning paths when employees change roles or locations.
