Dropbox, Inc. has launched the latest iteration of its AI-powered universal search product, Dropbox Dash for Business. The solution claims to combine universal search, organisation and sharing capabilities, and advanced content access control.
Drew Houston, co-founder and CEO of Dropbox, said: “Our content is scattered everywhere, and it’s hard to find the thing you need to get your work done. Dash solves that problem by helping teams find information quickly, remove friction from their day, and keep sensitive information protected.”
AI-powered universal search
With an AI-powered universal search, Dropbox Dash claims to be a one-search box that helps companies find their content, no matter what it is or where it’s stored. Dash for Business targets an improved search experience that integrates with work tools like Google Drive, OneDrive, Notion, Asana, and more. It also uses machine intelligence to improve search results and provide real-time answers and summarisation.
Content access control
Dash for Business also claims to offer content access controls to give admins visibility over sensitive information. With Dropbox’s recent acquisition of Nira, the solution offers protection of cloud files from unauthorised access to protect confidential documents easily.
Admins can see everything shared in their company across every major content platform in one place, identify sensitive content, and manage bulk changes for any number of assets.
