Grab has launched 13 AI-powered experiences designed to enhance convenience and efficiency for millions across Southeast Asia.

“As a product builder, I believe AI should work the hardest for the people who need it most. I’m excited that the products we are launching today at GrabX are like having a smart companion by your side,” said Philipp Kandal, chief product officer of Grab, during GrabX 2026, its annual product showcase in early April.
AI-powered experiences
The 13 AI-powered products launched serve as Everyday Guides to Local Life, Effortless Travel, and Business Empowerment.
For local life, the new tools include Group Ride, which can cut fares by up to 40% for riders on similar routes, and Grab More, which lets users add items from nearby merchants without extra delivery fees. The Grab AI Assistant acts as a personal concierge powered by user habits and preferences, while GrabMaps for Consumers helps users plan trips and activities. Cash Loan enables users to customise repayment plans and receive loan decisions within seconds through the app.
For travel, Grab introduced Personalised Travel Experience, which consolidates trip information and reminders in one place, and GrabStays, a hotel booking service for last-minute bookings. Discover by Grab is an AI-powered food guide for dining, delivery, rides, and in-app payments. GrabPay for Travel lets users scan participating national QR codes and pay directly with cards already saved in the application.
To empower businesses, Grab unveiled Virtual Store Manager, which converts existing CCTV systems into smart operational tools. Cloud Printer allows seamless order handoff, Tap to Pay facilitates contactless smartphone payments, and Driver AI Assistant helps driver-partners improve efficiency and earnings.
