Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) launches the industry’s first scale-out disaggregated block storage, Release 3 of HPE GreenLake for Block Storage, based on HPE Alletra Storage MP that offers an on-premises cloud experience, efficient scale, and extreme resiliency and performance to modern mission-critical workloads.

Justin Chiah

“As enterprises continue to drive data-driven modernisation, many are faced with legacy data storage complexities slowing down their progress,” said Justin Chiah, vice president, and general manager, Data Services and Storage, Asia Pacific, HPE.

Release 3

Release 3 includes new multi-node switch models and unlocks the full power of NVMe for Ethernet networking with support for NVMe-oF/TCP. The enhanced management via the HPE GreenLake cloud platform equips it with AI-based performance reporting and analytics. Greater cost efficiency comes with a new warranty program for quadruple data compression. Moreover, it also offers a 100% data availability guarantee.

New Storage Architecture

The HPE GreenLake for Block Storage MP Release 3’s midplane flexibility provides more than enough I/O capacity for additional controllers, drives, and JBOFs for larger application capacity.

AIOps management via cloud console

Powered by industry-leading AIOps, the block storage delivers a cloud operational experience that predicts and prevents disruptions. It can enhance troubleshooting and insights with extended AI-based performance reporting and analytics.

The solution includes deduplication with express indexing, data packing, hardware-accelerated and reservation-free thin provisioning, and virtual copy to reduce and aggregate data
