Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat), in partnership with Ooredoo Group, Nokia, and NVIDIA, has launched Zankore by Indosat, an AI infrastructure platform for a global market, with Asia-Pacific as its launchpad.

“With Indonesia’s rich resources and talent, combined with global expertise and strategic partnerships, we can accelerate the development of a sovereign AI infrastructure that benefits both businesses and society,” said Meutya Hafid, minister of Communication and Digital Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

AI infrastructure platform

To meet the rising demand for secure, scalable AI computing, the initiative aims to develop one of the region’s largest AI infrastructure platforms, targeting a deployment of 1 gigawatt (GW) of NVIDIA DSX AI Factory capacity over the long term.

The platform will use NVIDIA DSX, an AI factory architecture that integrates accelerated computing, networking, cooling, power management, and operations into a unified system.

The first phase, scheduled for the first half of 2027, will deliver approximately 200 megawatts (MW) of AI capacity powered by NVIDIA’s GB300 NVL72 systems.

Zankore will also deploy NVIDIA DSX MaxLPS technology, which optimises GPU power consumption to increase computing capacity by up to 40% within existing power limits, improving efficiency and revenue potential.

Building together

Ooredoo Group serves as the lead investor, providing long-term capital and regional scale.

Indosat contributes its digital infrastructure, market presence, and local execution capabilities.

NVIDIA supplies advanced AI computing technologies, software, GPUs, and access to its global AI ecosystem, while Nokia provides AI-native networking.

To oversee the initiative, Zankore has established a board composed of representatives from its principal shareholders and independent leadership.
