Zoom Video Communications, Inc. unveils Zoom Workplace, its AI-powered, open collaboration platform that claims to optimise flexible work experiences, facilitate connections, and increase productivity.
“All that time spent in the name of collaboration can paradoxically get in the way of effective teamwork, reduce meaningful connection with our colleagues, and hamper engagement at work. To address this collaboration paradox, businesses need to reimagine how their teams communicate and collaborate,” shared Smita Hashim, the chief product officer at Zoom.

It features a new Meetings tab, centralising agendas, documents, AI Companion smart recordings, and meeting summaries. It also enhances virtual meetings through a multi-speaker view, highlighting active speakers, and AI-powered portrait lighting to fix poor lighting.
Zoom Team Chat boosts asynchronous communication through Team Chat tabs that keep links, whiteboards, and resources in a single view, shared spaces that provide a shared grouping of channels, and workflow automation to automate business tasks in Team Chat.
The Workspaces tab provides access to Workspace Reservation with wayfinding Visitor Management directly from the Zoom Workplace app. Zoom Rooms enables new smart name tags that automatically apply name tags to people in a Zoom Room during a meeting. Users can also expand Zoom Rooms with a companion device for an additional screen to collaborate with audio and video.
