The application security SaaS company Indusface uncovers the most common data professionals share with AI and itsimplications for individuals and businesses.

Among the top personal data professionals share with AI are work-related files and documents, personal details such as names, addresses, contact information, client and employee information, financial information, passwords and access credentials, company codebases, and intellectual property (IP).

Indusface cautions professionals against sharing such information with AI tools, reminding them to remove sensitive data when inputting search commands. Sharing personal and sensitive data can also violate confidentiality contract policies and cause data leakages.
It also underlines the importance of cybersecurity training for staff, upskilling on the safe use of AI, password management, and ensuring the security of devices.
"Therefore, robust cybersecurity measures are crucial, including AI governance policies, employee training, and using secure AI platforms.
