In light of today’s rising ransomware attacks, organisations no longer need to worry about completely losing their mission critical data or digital assets stolen from their network storage. Now, a simple way to backup, secure, govern and analyse data, takes the form of a suite of cloud-based services by Cohesity.
Making this more readily available in Singapore and Southeast Asia, this comes as part of its service expansion of Data Management as a Service (DMaaS) solutions as a portfolio of ‘software as a service’ (SaaS) offerings designed to provide enterprise and mid-size customers with a radically simple way to manage their data.
Cohesity FortKnox, is an SaaS data isolation and recovery solution that helps organisations minimise the impact of cyber attacks such as ransomware. This is designed to improve cyber resilience by providing an isolated and immutable copy of data in a cloud vault. They can then utilise this copy to recover confidently from any attack. This is unique in that it is designed to deliver off-site protection, simplifying operations at low costs compared to magnetic-tape and self-managed data vaults.
Simply Connect to Recover
In a Vanson Bourne study, The State of Data Management Report, commissioned by Cohesity, it was found that 89% of senior IT leaders/organisations are likely to consider deploying a DMaaS solution, citing the ability to derive more value from data and cost-effectiveness among the top reasons.
DMaaS offerings can be easily managed through one user interface via the Cohesity Helios multi cloud platform. This next-gen approach to data management helps customers consolidate many of the separate services, products, and administrative consoles that organisations often struggle to manage today. This consolidation can further enhance data security by helping companies reduce their attack surface. Customers can also utilise DMaaS to shift expenses from CapEx to OpEx.
Now, organisations can simply connect to the vault, and recover data without compromising service level agreements and regulatory requirements.
“The introduction of our DMaaS portfolio not only empowers customers to further simplify their data management in a way that best aligns to their hybrid environments, but importantly also gives our regional partners the opportunity to add value by providing customers with tailored and optimised solutions,” said Sheena Chin, managing director, ASEAN, Cohesity.
