Dell Technologies announced the availability of Dell APEX Cloud Platform for Microsoft, a new system that extends the Microsoft Azure hybrid cloud experience to the data centre and edge environments.
Karolis Macionis, regional director, APEX, at Dell Technologies, Asia Pacific and Japan said that their company and Microsoft have already been helping customers deploy apps and data through hybrid cloud innovation and collaboration.
“This new platform will enable organisations in the region to simplify their Azure management, accelerate application delivery, and offer flexibility to run their workloads across the cloud, edge, and data centre,” the Dell Technologies executive added.
The power of Azure
The Dell APEX Cloud Platform for Microsoft Azure combines Dell’s ability to deliver software-driven management and orchestration and software-defined storage with the cloud services and container orchestration of Microsoft.
“More of our customers are asking us to bring the power of Azure wherever they need it out in the real world, whether that is in their factories, retail stores, quick service restaurants, or distributed locations. Through our partnership with Dell, we can project just enough Microsoft Azure to those locations at the edge,” said Douglas Phillips, corporate vice president, of Azure Edge + Platform.
Enhancing Azure hybrid cloud
The Dell APEX Cloud Platform for Microsoft Azure addresses key priorities in Information Technology such as simplifying management, accelerating application delivery, and providing the fastest time to value.
The new platform takes Premier Solutions for Azure Stack HCI to another level through lifecycle management, and unique automation. New Edge offerings and ultimate flexibility are some of its features to watch out for.
