Hitachi Vantara announced the availability of Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform One, a hybrid cloud platform aimed at transforming the data management of organisations.
“Virtual Storage Platform One is transformational in the storage landscape because it unifies data and provides flexibility regardless of whether your data is in an on-premises, cloud, or software-defined environment,” said Octavian Tanase, the chief product officer at Hitachi Vantara.
Virtual Storage Platform One
Virtual Storage Platform One focuses on data availability, resiliency, and reliability, simplifying infrastructure for mission-critical applications. It also includes risk mitigation measures, including downtime, productivity losses, and security threats.
"Additionally, the platform is built with resiliency in mind, guaranteeing 100% data availability, modern storage assurance, and effective capacity across all its solutions, providing organisations with simplicity at scale and an unbreakable data foundation for hybrid cloud,” added Tanase.
Data management
With a unified data ecosystem, it claims to seamlessly integrate block and file storage that can help eliminate data silos and fragmented landscapes. The hybrid cloud platform ensures data collection, integration, and accessibility from any device or location through Hitachi Storage Virtualisation Operating System (SVOS).
Key differentiators
Hitachi Vantara claims the solution redefines the data management landscape through its one data plane, extending the storage portfolio into the public cloud, simple automated consumption, cloud observability, and accelerated file storage.
