According to the Information Security and Compliance Future Trends 2024 report by Keeper Security in partnership with analyst firm Enterprise Management Associates (EMA), around 91% of technology leaders believe that maintaining a Zero Trust infrastructure in their organisation will require more resources and effort than maintaining their current security environment.
Revolutionising cybersecurity
Despite the anticipated adjustments and concerns, the study uncovers a proactive stance among technology leaders. More than 61% have either initiated or are planning a zero-trust project, with over 37% already in the planning stage or having their budget approved.
Moreover, around 89% believe in its potential to positively impact organisational operations. The same number believe their organization has the skills or talent necessary to adopt and implement Zero Trust.
Craig Lurey, CTO and co-founder of Keeper Security, envisions Zero Trust as a game-changer for the cybersecurity industry. He states, “Zero trust has the potential to revolutionise the future of the cybersecurity industry, and Keeper is at the forefront of that revolution,”
“We are committed to providing cutting-edge solutions that empower businesses of all sizes to navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape securely, connecting enterprises and consumers with the digital resources they need most simply and securely possible,” Lurey added.
“The cybersecurity industry is poised for continued innovation and transformation, driven by advancements in AI, regulatory mandates, and shifting security paradigms,” said Christopher Steffen, vice president of Research EMA. “Organisations that proactively adapt to these changes will be better positioned to safeguard their assets and data against emerging threats and cyberattacks.”
