Lenovo Philippines commits to the inclusion of women in the workplace through leadership and representation.
"Diversity and inclusion are at the heart of our mission in the Philippines. By fostering a workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve, we are better positioned to innovate and address the needs of our customers in the Philippine market," said Michael Ngan, president and general manager of Lenovo Philippines, Inc.
Women's Empowerment Principles
In its 18th annual Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, the company reported its endorsement of the United Nations' Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs), offering guidance for businesses to promote gender equality and women's empowerment.
Women representation
Lenovo's Women in Lenovo Leadership, an employee resource group (ERG), has been instrumental in promoting gender equality within the company. With a commendable 20% female executive representation, the ERG offers robust training and mentorship programs, contributing to a more inclusive workplace.
Most (61%) of Lenovo Philippines' current employees are women, signifying female representation in the workplace.
This year's report shows a 29% representation of women in technical roles, which demonstrates Lenovo's commitment to diversity and underscores its dedication to increasing diversity, inclusion, and access to technology both internally and externally.
Heart of the mission
"We remain firmly committed to creating opportunities for everybody, including women and individuals with disabilities, to thrive in the tech industry and contribute to our overall nation's growth," said Ngan.
