An IDC survey revealed that 40% of employers said a person without ICT would likely not be considered for a job. A further 66% of employers said staff with low ICT skills are an obstacle to their growth. Both are considered as barriers to digital transformation.
The IDC survey also revealed that 90% of organisations have adjusted project plans, delayed product or service releases, or lost revenue from lack of IT skills. These have resulted in US$390 billion of lost revenue annually.
