Red Hat, Inc. announced the general availability of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.4, which offers refined management, automation, and proactive support in building standard operating environments (SOEs) for distributed systems.

Automation
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.4 extends the Red Hat Enterprise Linux system role which includes the following:
·System roles at the edge through rpm-ostree enable users to automate operating system-level tasks at the edge
·Fapolicyd system role automates permissions of application executions at scale
·Snapshot system role creates and manages point-in-time snapshots of logical volume manager (LVM) storage volumes to speed up backup and recovery.
·Bootloader system role helps configure the kernel command line helping improve the consistency and management of Linux systems at scale.
