Over 90% of software developers and IT professionals said that low-code tools boosted productivity, the 2024 Reveal Biggest Software Development Challenges survey found.
Around 43.5% of 585 respondents observed saving up to 50% of their time when using low-code tools.

“Low-code software has real value in democratising software development to include non-developers. It puts users in control of application development and empowers teams to develop and modify applications using intuitive tools without coding expertise. The global shortage of skilled software developers drove the implementation of low-code software for non-programmers and has resulted in improved efficiency,” said Jason Beres, senior VP of Developer Tools at Infragistics and creator of App Builder software.
Exploding market
The 2024 Reveal survey also showed that around 71% of developers currently use low-code/no-code tools, over 56% expect to rely on these tools more in 2024, and 33.5% intend to implement designer/developer collaboration tools.
KPMG reports predictions that low code will become the preferred software development method by 2025. Projections from Gartner reveal that the market will grow to almost $30 billion by 2025, with a 20% CAGR.
“Clearly, the industry has great expectations for low code adoption and utilization. For now, companies are deciding how to transition from selective low code adoption to the cohesive, enterprise-wide approach that would drive these lofty growth expectations,” according to KPMG.
