Nutanix and The Bank of East Asia, Limited (BEA) collaborated to enhance the sales surveillance and fortify compliance measures of BEA using an AI-powered speech recognition tool.
BEA adopted the Nutanix Cloud Platform to support its move towards a hybrid multi-cloud. The platform allows applications to run across diverse cloud environments, such as at the edge, on-premise, and in public clouds. Moreover, it integrates with Red Hat OpenShift, an open-source container application platform.
AI-powered speech recognition tool
Developed by Fano Labs, BEA’s first partner to operate on Nutanix with Red Hat OpenShift, the bank leverages the AI-powered speech-to-text solution to enhance its compliance and risk management capability. The tool can analyse customer interactions, including calls, emails, and live chats.

“By leveraging Nutanix’s leading cloud platform, we have ensured agile resource optimisation, and embraced emerging AI technologies as a core component of our fintech strategy. This implementation enables BEA to bolster compliance measures and deliver quality banking services to our customers,” says Stephen Leung, the group CIO, general manager, and head of the Technology and Productivity Division of BEA.
Teddy Ko, country manager, Hong Kong & Macau at Nutanix, said, “The integration of Nutanix's Cloud Platform with Fano Labs' AI solution showcases the power of innovation in driving positive change within the banking industry. Together, we are forging the groundwork for a future-ready FinTech landscape.”
