Cloudera announces Cloudera Flow Management - Kubernetes Operator and Cloudera Streaming - Kubernetes Operator for customers to deploy Apache NiFi, Apache Kafka, and Apache Flink clusters on Kubernetes application platforms like Red Hat OpenShift.
Cloudera claims that deploying end-to-end data streaming capabilities on existing Kubernetes clusters with the Kubernetes Operators will be easier. Moreover, the company intends customers to take advantage of auto-scaling, resource management, and streamlined setup and operations.
“We’re excited to be among the first to offer operator and commercial support for organisations looking to run Apache NiFi data flows on Red Hat OpenShift,” said Dipto Chakravarty, chief product officer at Cloudera. “Cloudera Flow Management customers and open-source users who move to Kubernetes operators will immediately benefit from auto-scaling flows and streamlined cluster setup and operations.”
Data-in-Motion offerings
With Data-in-Motion offerings, Cloudera claims to connect all enterprise data assets to deliver streaming data and real-time insights to any target system or application.
By leveraging the proven operator pattern of Red Hat OpenShift users, Cloudera Flow Management - Kubernetes Operator and Cloudera Streaming - Kubernetes Operator aims to reduce operational overhead.

We are pleased to collaborate with Cloudera to help customers deploy streaming pipelines to speed up innovation projects and scale on Red Hat OpenShift,” Tushar Katarki, senior director of product management, Hybrid Cloud Platforms at Red Hat, said.
