Cohesity introduced a patent-pending visual data exploration capability to its AI-powered search assistant, Cohesity Gaia. The capability aims to provide visual categorisation of the themes across documents and files within a data set, bring new context to the data, and suggest queries that help users gain insights faster.
Visual data explorer
Cohesity Gaia claims to automatically provide a visual data representation sorted by themes. It aims to empower users to ask more informed and targeted questions as they search.
"By addressing the challenge of managing and extracting insights from unstructured data across disparate systems, Cohesity Gaia and its new visual data explorer have the potential to revolutionise data accessibility for enterprises," said Chirag Mehta, a principal cybersecurity analyst with Constellation Research.
"This innovation not only could enhance data security and compliance but could also empower business users of enterprise customers with deeper, more contextual insights, significantly benefiting the decision-making process and operational efficiency," Mehta added.
Expanded support
Cohesity also expanded support for new workloads and data sources within Gaia, allowing users to analyse data protected on the Cohesity platform from Microsoft 365 Mail, Microsoft 365 Sharepoint, Microsoft 365 OneDrive, and on-prem or cloud-based file servers.
