Fortinet and Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT) a technical agency in the Ministry of Defence, Singapore partner for the enhancement of the latter’s capabilities in cyber threat intelligence sharing, joint investigations, and telemetry data utilisation.
Capability enhancement
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) lists down CSIT’s enhancement of its capabilities in several key areas, such as:
- Cyber Threat Intelligence Sharing: FortiGuard Labs’ knowledge of emerging threats, compromise indicators, insights into malicious attacks, information on new attack vectors, and recommendations for defensive strategies will enhance CSIT’s identification and response to cyber threats
- Joint Investigations: CSIT and Fortinet will combine their resources and expertise to analyse and address cyber threats with speed and accuracy.
- Telemetry Data Utilisation: A shared telemetry data will provide insights into ongoing cyber threats and trends, for the two parties to set up proactive security measures against evolving threats.

"Our collaboration with CSIT underscores our longstanding support of mission-critical public-private partnerships and commitment to sharing our extensive cybersecurity expertise to bolster Singapore's digital defenses," Jess Ng, the country head for Singapore, and Brunei at Fortinet, said.

Our partnership with Fortinet not only strengthens our collective efforts to enhance Singapore’s cybersecurity but also underscores our commitment to staying ahead of evolving cyber threats," Tan Yi Zhao, deputy chief executive (Technology) at the Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies, added.
