Trane by Trane Technologies launches its new DCDA series, the first locally developed Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU) solution designed for data centres in the Asia Pacific region.

New DCDA series
The series features a space-efficient design that aligns with standard server racks, allowing for both in-row and in-room deployment. It offers reliable, easy maintenance through a full-front-access architecture, which can save up to 20% of floor space.
The modular platform design supports multiple pipe connection directions. It can be equipped with sensors for temperature, pressure, turbidity, pH, conductivity, and more. Additionally, it can be fitted with a fully integrated ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch), UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), and APF (Active Power Filter) to meet various power-supply and harmonic-control requirements.
The DCDA series includes three models with cooling capacities of 400 kW, 800 kW, and 1350 kW, and can be customised to support expansion up to 1700 kW. It features variable-frequency water pumps and intelligent control algorithms that enable real-time, demand-based cooling.
This system enables liquid cooling and achieves an industry-leading Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) as low as 1.1, thanks to its efficient cooling design. For large-scale, high-density deployment scenarios, the DCDA series provides robust cluster control and system integration capabilities, enabling the stable, coordinated operation of up to 16 units.
Furthermore, the product offers extensive communication interfaces compatible with mainstream protocols, ensuring continuous and stable cooling in large-scale clusters. To guarantee high product reliability, Trane provides exclusive selection tools based on the professional selection platform, TSAP.
