Zoom Video Communications, Inc. has unveiled new AI-first work platform innovations that aim to transform team communication, collaboration, and productivity.

This is more than an evolution; it's a complete overhaul of how we get things done in the digital age."
AI Companion 2.0
AI Companion 2.0 claims to have an advanced contextual understanding to provide intelligent suggestions, research from the web in real-time, and complete actions across different workloads in Zoom Workplace. It claims to synthesize interactions across Zoom Workplace, Microsoft Outlook, Gmail, Google Calendar, Microsoft Office, and Google Docs.

Zoom Workplace's innovations include Zoom Tasks, which help complete tasks; Zoom Phone AI-first enhancements, to provide summaries of Zoom Phone calls as they happen; and Zoom Phone voicemail generation, which can create customised voicemail greetings from the user's voiceprint based on the user's calendar events.
A new capability, AI Companion meeting agendas, and real-time summaries aims to keep meetings on track. It also contains a library of pre-selected avatars in Zoom Clips to create video content from text.
Zoom Docswill offer new organisation and permission options, new Data Table views and columns for better collaboration, and AI Companion skills for writing and generating content.
AI innovations
Zoom also announced other AI innovations, such as AI Companion, for in-person meetings to provide meeting summaries and action items. AI Companion is expanding within Workspace Reservation for in-office meetings to recommend the best days to meet and suggest rooms based on location and size.
For employee engagement, Zoom launched AI Companion for Workvivo, which aims to create content faster, and Workvivo Employee Insights, to measure employee engagement, happiness, and performance.
Zoom also unveiled a self-service chatbot, Zoom Virtual Agent, with multi-intent detection to handle complex customer issues, Auto Quality Management for insights into agent performance, and AI Expert Assist that claims to analyse the conversation context and guide agents to the relevant next step.
