Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU), a higher education institution in the Philippines, has partnered with PLDT Enterprise to power its campus with high-speed internet, cloud-based communications, and advanced digital infrastructure.

“This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to shaping the future of education through technology,” said Mitch Locsin, first vice president and head of Enterprise Core Business, PLDT and Smart. “We are proud to support Ateneo de Manila University in its vision of becoming a smart campus and empowering the next generation of Filipino leaders.”
Smart campus
ADMU intends to enhance its digital capabilities on campus through PLDT Enterprise’s iGate (a dedicated internet access) for fast and stable internet connectivity, SIP with Cloud PABX to modernise communication infrastructure, and enterprise-grade mobile postpaid plans for employees.
“PLDT Enterprise’s technology allows us to serve our campus community better today, and more importantly, to prepare for the digital demands of the future,” said Fr. Bobby Yap, SJ, president, Ateneo de Manila University. “As we work toward becoming a smart campus, reliable connectivity is not just a convenience — it’s a critical enabler of our mission to educate, form leaders, and serve the nation.

Digital transformation
Enhanced digital infrastructure supports e-learning platforms, real-time collaboration, cloud-based administration, and hybrid teaching models for Ateneo’s student and faculty population of over 19,000 individuals.
“As the digital partner of choice for the education sector, we’re committed to helping schools transition from traditional setups to fully connected smart campuses,” added Locsin. “This transformation is essential in ensuring the country’s competitiveness and resilience in a fast-changing world.”
