Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) expands its partnership with Workday, Inc. to build generative artificial intelligence (genAI) capabilities, innovate customer experiences, and help accelerate customer cloud transformation.
“By leveraging AWS, we can focus more directly on that goal while using the tools and services they provide for a range of model management and operations,” said Shane Luke, vice president of Product and Engineering and head of AI and ML at Workday.
GenAI tools
Workday leverages AWS technologies to develop generative AI capabilities for better workforce and financial asset management. These technologies aim to help customers create job descriptions, analyse and correct contracts, and create personalised employee talent highlights.
Workday also partners with AWS Generative AI Innovation Center to experiment with new applications of generative AI capabilities and leverages Amazon SageMaker to enhance the performance of large language models (LLMs).
Building custom applications
Customers can use Workday data and AWS technologies to build customised apps for finance and HR processes, designed to improve the developer experience, build customised apps, and respond to unforeseen spikes in demand and resource disruptions.
Go-to-market collaboration
Workday and AWS will invest in joint sales and go-to-market initiatives. These initiatives aim to help accelerate new Workday customer acquisition and assist existing Workday customers that run on AWS. They will be able to launch preconfigured Workday solutions, which aim to provide near-zero downtime maintenance windows and help with compliance with regional data residency laws and regulatory requirements.
Kathrin Renz, vice president of AWS Industries, said, “With AWS as a preferred cloud services provider, Workday can quickly develop new ways to help organisations around the globe become more responsive and data-focused.”
