The expanded partnership aims to modernise cloud infrastructure, enhance data management, encourageinnovation, simplify operational complexity, and support sustainability objectives. Through advanced automation capabilities and adaptable consumption models, the initiative also helps lower the total cost of ownership.
"As more businesses face the realities of the AI age, they are actively seeking solutions that help them scale and improve data reliability without sacrificing cost or environmental commitments," said Octavian Tanase, chief product officer of Hitachi Vantara.
Paul Turner, vice president of products, VMware Cloud Foundation Division, Broadcom, said: "This not only addresses the current challenges of data management and infrastructure modernisation, but also aligns with organisations' sustainability goals, making it an essential tool for businesses looking to thrive in the era of generative AI and beyond."
Key benefits
Its key benefits include faster time-to-value, enhanced performance, resilience, and flexible deployment that supportsrunning traditional VMs, modern cloud-native containers, and emerging private AI workloads.
It also claims to provide simplified management with an integrated infrastructure and advanced automation for cloud operations and life cycle management. It also has a pay-per-use consumption model.
Finally, the initiative claims to support sustainability efforts with modern designs that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy costs. Its Virtual Storage Platform One arrays claim to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 96% and data center storage footprint by up to 35%.
