Zoom Video Communications, Inc. announced new AI Companion capabilities through a generative AI assistant that can help track AI usage and adoption, improve customer experience, and supercharge workplace communication.
“AI Companion has generated over 5 million meeting summaries since we launched it in September 2023,” said Mahesh Ram, head of AI at Zoom. By continuing to launch new features for AI Companion, including an analytics dashboard and AI Companion for Zoom Contact Center, we aim to help more people feel supported and enabled to build connections together.”

Analytics dashboard: The AI Companion analytics dashboard can help administrators analyse AI Companion usage and adoption within their organisation.
Zoom Contact Center: AI Companion powers Zoom Contact Center by summarising customer chats and conversations for agents, generating post-call tasks for follow-up, and supporting speech analytics and live sentiment.
Team Chat: AI Companion upgrades Team Chat by detecting intent to schedule a meeting and generating a calendar invite for attendees, including the date and time based on the message’s content.
Whiteboard: Zoom Whiteboard using AI Companion enables the creation of mind maps to help visually organise users’ thoughts.
Meetings: AI Companion will use attendees’ gender pronouns from their Zoom profile when generating Meeting Summaries.
