Workday, Inc. announced that Sime Darby Berhad has successfully deployed Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) in the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, and Macau.
This deployment brings a host of benefits to our operations, including improved efficiency, better collaboration, and data-backed decision-making. It enables approximately 7,000 employees to access the full suite of Workday HCM offerings, including Workday Absence Management, Workday Compensation, Workday Learning, and Workday Recruiting.
“Our employees, as always, are integral to our business, and we strive to provide a world-class experience working with a multinational company,” said Roselaini Faiz, group chief human resources officer at Sime Darby Berhad.
“We are proud to offer our employees the tools and support they need to flourish and thrive at work through better collaboration and efficiency with data-backed decision-making across the Group. We look forward to leveraging Workday’s innovative solutions to help drive success through our people,” she added.
HR transformation
By collaborating with Workday, Sime Darby Berhad could optimise resources and resolve different language needs, processes, regulations, and requirements in diverse markets. The collaboration lays foundation for future deployment to other global markets by allowing for a unified global HR strategy, aligning to business needs, and increasing self-sufficiency.
“Talent is the currency of a company’s success. Having a holistic, real-time view of its workforce on a unified platform will help enable companies to make more agile decisions, optimise resources, better engage employees, and future-proof their operations to seize new opportunities in a rapidly evolving world,” said Daniel Cham, general manager for Workday Greater China.
