AI Data Cloud company Snowflake has announced new upgrades to Snowflake Postgres that enable enterprises to consolidate transactional, analytical, and AI use cases onto a single, secure platform.

“For AI to truly deliver value, it must move beyond experimentation and become ingrained within the systems teams rely on every day,” said Christian Kleinerman, EVP of Product at Snowflake.
“With our latest product advancements, we’re reimagining how teams build and operate by embedding AI directly into the development lifecycle, making data AI-ready by design and helping enterprises deliver real business impact with AI,” he added.
Snowflake Postgres
Snowflake Postgres now runs natively in the AI Data Cloud, aiming to address concerns with separate systems, including steep costs, slowed development, increased risk, and delayed insights.
Full compatibility with open-source Postgres enables migrating existing apps to Snowflake without code changes.
Snowflake Postgres enables users to power critical AI and apps, analyse business performance and trends using the most up-to-date data from their operations, and build AI-driven features such as recommendations or forecasting using the same data, without moving it between systems.
New product announcements
Beyond Snowflake Postgres, the company also unveils new product innovations:
- Snowflake Unveils Cortex Code, a data-native coding agent that claims to understand specific data, governance, and operational context of an enterprise, with capabilities for vibe coding through an integration with v0 by Vercel
- Snowflake Delivers Semantic View Autopilot, an AI-powered service that continuously learns from real user activity to ensure business logic remains accurate and up-to-date; it minimises hallucinations and cuts semantic model creation time from days to minutes.
