ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (Japan) unveils STT Tokyo 1 in Inzai City, part of the Greater Tokyo area, its first data centre facility in Japan.
STT Tokyo 1
STT Tokyo 1 is the first of two buildings in its data centre campus located within Goodman Business Park. With a gross floor area of 60,000 square metres, both will support a total of up to 70 megawatts of IT capacity, with STT Tokyo 1 providing up to 32 megawatts upon full operational capacity.

Kiyoshi Maeda, chief executive officer – Japan, ST Telemedia Global Data Centres, said, “As Japan’s digital transformation accelerates, this facility will offer customers the performance and reliability they need to unlock the full potential of their applications and data.”
Sustainability
STT Tokyo 1 claims to adhere to Japan Data Centre Council (JDCC) guidelines to address the demand for secure, resilient, and energy-efficient digital infrastructure.
It is committed to delivering carbon-neutral operations from day one for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions with an integrated energy-efficient design resulting in world-class PUE.
The data centre also features a behind-the-meter solar photovoltaic system to power external façade lighting, electric vehicle charging stations, and water pumps.
It claims to have been among the first data centres globally to achieve the TIA-942-C Design Certification in mid-2024, ensuring robust redundancy, high availability, and strong physical security.
Further, it operates on a 66kV dual-feed utility intake with an on-site substation, ensuring maximum uptime and the ability to seamlessly switch between redundant power feeds, automatically maintaining service continuity for customers with mission-critical workloads.
