Zoom Communications, Inc. launched agentic AI Companion capabilities, new Zoom AI Companion skills, and AI updates across its platform.

“AI Companion is evolving from a personal assistant to being truly agentic, which signals a major leap forward in how AI can enhance productivity and collaboration at work,” said Smita Hashim, chief product officer at Zoom. “We’re delivering value for our customers through AI agents and agentic skills that solve real customer problems, helping them connect, collaborate, and get more done, all within the Zoom platform our users trust and love.”
AI Companion
Zoom is elevating AI Companion across its platform through AI agentic skills, agents, and models. AI Companion claims to help execute multi-step actions, decide based on reasoning and memory, and solve complex problems. It can also learn over time and perform task action and orchestration. Additional new agentic skills include calendar management, clip generation, and writing assistance. Further specialised agents will power Zoom Business Services, such as Zoom Virtual Agent for customer self-service and Zoom Revenue Accelerator for sales.
New features will allow users to create custom meeting templates and dictionaries and use AI Studio to expand AI Companion’s knowledge and skills. Users can structure meeting summaries for various industry verticals or use cases with access to a digital personal AI coach and custom meeting summary templates.
AI Companion’s new agentic skills target to help users work more efficiently, identify and execute tasks, manage meetings, and more.
Moreover, with AI Companion writing assistance seamlessly integrated into Zoom Docs, users can create high-quality content more efficiently. It also includes internal and external information search capabilities to maximise productivity and streamline workflows.
