Networking and communication solutions provider Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise has unveiled Rainbow Hospitality, a cloud-based solution that integrates with Property Management Systems (PMS) and Call Accounting Systems (CAS).

Dirk Dumortier, director of Vertical Partnerships, APAC, at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, said the solution aims to address hospitality issues in the Asia Pacific region, including the difficulty in recruiting a sufficient workforce, the rising demand for hyper-personalisation, and a complex patchwork of legacy technology.
"Rainbow Hospitality directly addresses these challenges with a single, cloud-based platform that unifies communications and streamlines daily operations, resulting in simplified IT security for staff, while also freeing up guest-facing employees to focus on high-value guest interactions," Dumortier added.
Rainbow Hospitality

Rainbow Hospitality is designed with the guest experience in mind, making it easy for staff to communicate with guests in their rooms. It provides a reliable cloud foundation through Rainbow Cloud PBX and a collaboration platform, replacing traditional PBX systems and supporting smarter, more connected operations.
The solution offers a comprehensive suite of features, including real-time collaboration, AI, IoT, and system integration. It also provides real-time integration between property systems, room availability and management, guest requirements, and per-room voice traffic to optimise operations.
It also provides a wake-up call management, room service coordination, guest directory updates based on check-in/check-out events, hotel staff communication, and call barring capabilities.
To provide smooth interoperability with existing hotel infrastructures, Rainbow Hospitality natively integrates with major cloud-based PMS and supports API development to connect with third-party PMS and CAS.
It also offers APIs for integration with staff tools or hotel applications, such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, to extend the communication ecosystem between guests and staff.
