Agora’s innovations in conversational AI for robotics and wearable devices earned the company the prestigious Microsoft AI Innovation Award at CES 2025.
The company’s Software-Defined Real-Time Network (SD-RTN) enables ultra-low latency communication between humans and AI, setting a new standard for real-time interaction.

Conversational AI technology
Agora’s conversational AI technology claims to enable robots, wearables, and other devices to engage in natural, human-like interactions, enhancing user experiences.
Agora’s AI technology features voice activity detection, speech-to-text (STT), text-to-speech (TTS) capabilities, and large language models (LLMs) that engage AI systems in comprehension and real-time decision-making.

“Agora’s conversational AI solution provides the foundation for next-generation AI-driven communication, enabling developers to rapidly build multimodal AI agents. The Microsoft AI Innovation Award recognises Agora’s commitment to driving global innovation and creating impactful, real-world applications, including AI-powered robots, doormen, baby monitors, gaming agents, AR/VR smart glasses, and more,” said Tony Wang, chief revenue officer at Agora.
Robots and wearable devices
At CES 2025, Agora showcased real-world applications of its AI technology, including Robopoet, a robot that provides emotional companionship through personalised interactions; Beken, a robotics chip that enhances real-time processing and object detection; and IntelPro smart glasses, which offer hands-free navigation, facial recognition, and object tracking capabilities for enterprises.
