The Company Filings Analytics Database of GlobalData reveals a trend in the cybersecurity industry-the integration of AI capabilities in incident response, threat detection, and prediction.
AI-powered risk management
BlackBerry Ltd launched an enhanced AI-based Cylance cybersecurity solutions portfolio, including a significant update to its patented Cylance AI engine to improve threat prediction capabilities and a generative AI-powered cybersecurity assistant.
Further, Palo Alto Networks Inc. has launched AI-powered data security integrated into secure access service edge (SASE), leveraging large language model (LLM)- powered data classification, combining context-aware machine-learning models with LLMs.
Fortinet Inc. has introduced GenAI-based tools to strengthen security and increase operational efficiency, as well as enhancements across its security operations, including new AI and machine learning capabilities, additional real-time response, and automation capabilities.
SentinelOne Inc. launched an AI security system through Purple AI. The company’s Static AI model also predicts file-based/“zero-day attacks.” The Behavioral AI model maps, monitors, and links all behaviours to proactively mitigate cyber attacks.
Keeping up with threats
“Companies are launching tools and collaborating to integrate AI with cybersecurity tools for additional real-time response and co-develop security solutions to secure operations. However, it is crucial to regularly update and fine-tune the AI algorithms to keep up with the evolving threats,” said Misa Singh, Business Fundamentals Analyst at GlobalData.
