F5 has announced the expansion of its global network with a new point of presence (PoP) site in Indonesia, aiming to provide the scalability, security, and efficiency needed to secure applications, AI applications and APIs.

"By leveraging the new PoP, customers in Indonesia can now ensure data sovereignty, meet regulatory requirements and enhance their digital services to remain competitive," said Adam Judd, senior vice president of APCJ, F5.
Point of Presence
The deployment targets enhancing Indonesian organisations' ability to connect and secure applications across multi-cloud and edge environments with the F5 Application Delivery and Security Platform.
Customers can access web app and API protection (WAAP), multi-cloud networking, and edge computing services through a centralised Saas-based console powered by F5 Distributed Cloud Services, enabling organisations to consume these services effortlessly.
The new PoP boasts unique features, including comprehensive SaaS-based security, streamlined and lower-latency multi-cloud networking, compliant and optimised AI workloads, and accessibility on the AWS Marketplace. Customers pay only for what is consumed, and usage and spending are tracked on the AWS Billing and Cost Management dashboard.

"With Indonesia's digital ecosystem spanning multiple networks and cloud environments, the PoP addresses the unique challenges of multi-cloud networking by enabling seamless connectivity, optimisation, and security across diverse infrastructures," said Surung Sinamo, country manager for Indonesia at F5.
